Enriques surfaces - arithmetic and geometry
Picard numbers of surfaces of general type
Zeta-functions, fields of definition
Supersingular surfaces, in particular K3, Fermat and Horikawa surfaces
Elliptic curves and surfaces
Modular forms (especially with CM or non-congruence)
Calabi-Yau threefolds - modularity and non-liftability
Modularity of higher-dimensional Calabi-Yau varieties

Status quo: Junior professor at the Institute for Algebraic Geometry of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Leibniz Universität Hannover.
Member of the DFG research training group 1463 Analysis, Geometry and String Theory
