Postdoc position

The Institute of Algebraic Geometry invites applications for a position as a

Postdoc (Salary Scale E 13 TV-L 100%)

to be appointed on September 1st , 2018 or later. The position is limited to three years. An extension might become possible.

Responsibilities and duties
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the teaching and research of the department. He/she should have a good research track record in Algebraic Geometry.

Employment conditions

To qualify for the position, applicants must hold a PhD in Mathematics with above- average success in Algebraic Geometry.

Part-time employment is possible.

PhD position

The Institute of Algebraic Geometry invites applications for a position as a

PhD Student
(Salary Scale 13 TV-L 75%)

to be appointed on January 1, 2018 or later. The position is limited to three years.

Responsibilities and duties

The candidates are given the opportunity to work towards a doctoral degree in algebraic geometry. The successful applicant is expected to contribute to the teaching programme of the research group.

To qualify for the position, applicants must hold a Master`s degree or a Diploma in Mathematics with above-average grades in algebraic geometry or neighbouring areas.
